One of the latest bands to turn heads on the UK’s blossoming jazz circuit is Cykada. Effectively a super group comprising members of Maisha, Ezra Collective, Myriad Forest, Undergrooveland and Don Kipper, they combine electronic and live music with global inspiration from West Africa to Eastern Europe.
Throw in some beats and riddims of soundsystem culture, and you’ve got a pretty impressive dynamic mashup of musical styles.
